The Vivo TWS 5 earbuds have improved noise cancellation, Hi-Res Audio, and the ability to connect to three devices at the same time. There's also a Hi-Fi version with LHDC 5.0 support.

Alongside new smartphones, the Pad 5e tablet, and the Vivo Watch GT 2 smartwatch, Vivo also has a new pair of earbuds. The Vivo TWS 5 earbuds arrive as successors to the Vivo TWS 3 released in 2022. The new earbuds are available in China for now, with no information about a global release.

The Vivo TWS 5 earbuds have an angled in-ear design with a protruding stem. Each earbud is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, and has an 11mm dynamic driver and a ceramic tungsten acoustic diaphragm, housed in a glossy body. Vivo offers the TWS 5 in two versions — a standard edition and a Hi-Fi version.

Both versions are tuned by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Vivo Golden Ear acoustics team, are Hi-Res Audio certified, and have support for LDAC. However, the Hi-Fi version also has LHDC 5.0 support. Vivo also states that it collaborated with MediaTek to ensure the earbuds support LHDC lossless playback on phones powered by MediaTek's Dimensity processors.

Both the standard and Hi-Fi versions of the TWS 5 have four microphones per earbud for up to 60dB adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC). Users will be able to switch between three ANC levels. They also feature AI call noise reduction, which blocks out up to 99% of wind noise, and a 42ms low-latency gaming mode.

The TWS 5 earbuds have support for Spatial Audio, 10 customizable EQ bands, live translation, and touch controls. They also feature Adaptive Audio, which adjusts playback according to the shape of the user's ear canals.

While they have Bluetooth 5.4 LE and not Bluetooth 6.0, Vivo's new earbuds can connect to three devices at the same time, including Apple products, unlike rivals that can only pair to two devices simultaneously. When connected to a smartwatch, the TWS 5 will notify users of calls and messages (even read them aloud). They will also alert users when their heart rate is high.

Battery life for the Vivo TWS 5 and TWS 5 Hi-Fi version is 6 hours with ANC on, and it goes up to a total of 24 hours with the case. With ANC off, the battery life doubles to 12 hours and a total of 48 hours with the case.

The TWS 5 are available in Simple White, Pure Black, and Slightly Smoky Purple with a price tag of CNY 399 (~$56/€48). On the other hand, the TWS 5 Hi-Fi Version are available in Simple White and Deep Sea Blue and costs more at CNY 499 (~$70/€61).
