The vivo 120W multi-port flash charging kit 1 m has been released in China. The product combines a three-port charging plug with a 9.2A USB-C to USB-C cable measuring 1 m (3.3 ft) long. It launches alongside other products from the brand like the X300 series smartphones, the Watch GT 2 and the TWS 5 earbuds.
Vivo’s 120W charging plug has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, which can be used to charge up to three devices simultaneously. There is support for a range of fast charging protocols including VFCP, PPS, PD 3.0 and QC 2.0. According to vivo, users should be able to charge the vivo X300 to 56% in half an hour, or an iQOO 15 to 59% in the same time frame.
When all three outputs on the vivo charger are used, the power could be distributed 40W:40W:40W or 100W:10W:10W, for example. Plus, when a device is fully charged, the product listing indicates that the power is redistributed accordingly. GaN technology ensures efficient charging while reducing the production of heat, and there is said to be a nine-layer safety system to protect against issues such as overvoltage and overcurrent. This white accessory measures 61 x 61 x 30 mm (~2.4 x 2.4 x 1.2 inches), with folding pins to make it more compact when not in use.
In China, you can now buy the vivo 120W multi-port flash charging kit 1 m for CNY 199 (~$28). Whether or when a version of this product could be released in other markets is unclear.
