Final has unveiled the ZE500 for ASMR 3D earbuds for fans who enjoy listening to autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) or binaural audio recordings.
Binaural audio recordings are made using two microphones arranged to match where a person's ears are located on their head. The immersive sensation of hearing sound as if one were actually present is produced when binaural recordings are played back. A binaural recording can be heard here (stereo headphones must be used).
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) recordings are made to activate the tingling from scalp to spine to body that occurs in listeners who are responsive to such sounds. These recordings can use mono, stereo, binaural, or 360-degree spatial audio formats. ASMR recordings typically include sounds such as whispers, breaths, tapping, and scratching. An ASMR recording can be heard here (stereo headphones are ideal).
The earbuds have ultra-fine volume adjustment, ear canal pressure relief ports, and a tiny design that allows owners to wear them comfortably while sleeping, according to the company. Sounds are reproduced as if the listener were in the original recording space, with a strong sense of immersion that allows for clear localization of sounds.
The earbuds have a runtime of up to 4.5 hours, which is extended to 18 hours when using the charging case, according to Final. The earbuds take 1.5 hours to charge, while the case takes two hours. They can be fast charged to add an hour of runtime in 10 minutes. They are IPX4-rated against water splashes.
The Final ZE500 for ASMR 3D earbuds have an MSRP of 9,480 yen and are available on Amazon Japan in grey.
