The global models of OnePlus smartphones run on the Android operating system with the company's custom user interface called OxygenOS. Meanwhile, the Chinese models use ColorOS, similar to Oppo smartphones. OnePlus is expected to introduce its latest version of OxygenOS, based on Android 16. Although there is no concrete release date, the company has now teased a new AI integration in OxygenOS 16.
Mind Space is an AI feature in OxygenOS that was first introduced with the OnePlus 13s. It works as a journaling tool by allowing users to store notes, articles, and screenshots. Now, OnePlus India has revealed on the social media platform X that Google Gemini will be integrated with Mind Space. The promo image suggests that users will be able to recall information stored in Mind Space to perform various actions. For example, users could ask Gemini to plan a trip based on the information stored in Mind Space.
The promo image also reveals that this feature is coming soon to “OnePlus Flagship devices with OxygenOS 16.” For those unaware, the OnePlus 15 is expected to debut as the company's flagship offering in China this month. Meanwhile, the global release is rumored to be in November. Hence, it is likely that OxygenOS 16 will debut with the OnePlus 15.
