Foldables have become indispensable for some people, especially the large tablet-like devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which offer added value thanks to their flexible 8-inch displays when multitasking. However, the form factor is not ideal for media consumption because it is far too square. Huawei set the standard last year and again this year with the Mate XT, delivering a pocket-sized 10.2-inch tablet display with a near 16:9 aspect ratio.
Now, Samsung's first competitor is also approaching, although it has a completely different design, folding inward twice instead of inward and outward. According to previous media reports, the first version of the Samsung tri-fold, presumably equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, was originally only supposed to be launched in China and South Korea, but is now expected to be officially unveiled at an international conference towards the end of the month. As SamMobile recently reported, Samsung is now planning wider availability for the Samsung tablet, potentially called Galaxy G Fold or Galaxy Z TriFold.
Accordingly, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is now at least one of the countries where the Galaxy tri-fold will be available. The US and other countries may also be added, but these have apparently not yet been confirmed. The very few leaks of the past few months have pointed to, among other things, three integrated batteries, a triple-camera setup with a 200 MP sensor and up to 100x digital zoom, a 10-inch OLED display inside, and a roughly 6.5-inch cover display. Wireless charging will also be supported.
