The Honor Magic8 Pro will be officially unveiled on Wednesday, October 15. The manufacturer has now released a series of new teaser images that officially confirm many details about the device's features in advance. According to these images, Honor is combining the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a gigantic 7,200 mAh battery.
According to rumors, this can be charged via USB-C with up to 120 watts or wirelessly with a maximum of 80 watts. However, it can be assumed that, like the Honor Magic7 Pro, the flagship will be shipped with a smaller battery in Europe. The teaser images suggest that the AMOLED panel of the Honor Magic8 Pro reaches a higher HDR peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.
Honor is opting for a pill-shaped punch hole in the style of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro to make room for two selfie cameras. The round camera module on the back houses, among other things, a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera based on a 1/1.4-inch sensor, combined with a relatively fast f/2.6 lens.
Rumors suggest that Honor will also install a 50 MP f/1.6 main camera with a 1/1.31-inch sensor and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The telephoto camera reportedly has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 85 mm, which is about 3.5x optical zoom. The fingerprint sensor is said to be invisibly integrated into the 6.71-inch display. More details about the features are expected to be confirmed at the launch event on Wednesday at the latest.
