In spite of its 55% larger battery, Xiaomi's new 17 Pro Max barely outlasted its Apple counterpart in a recent battery drain test. It's no surprise that the Xiaomi flagship dominates its segment at the moment—thanks to its massive 7500 mAh battery—but that could be set to change.
As tested by Novice Evaluation, Oppo's Find X9 Pro could be set to offer better battery performance than any other new flagship device on the market. While the Find X9 series is yet to debut officially, both the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are already being tested in China, with the Find X9 Pro coming out on top in battery tests.
The Find X9 Pro manages a total time of 7h18m on the test, only losing out to the iQOO Z10 Turbo+, which lasts 7h31m. The Oppo sports a 7,500 mAh battery—much like the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max—while the iQOO is packed with an 8,000 mAh unit. Further accentuating Xiaomi's iffy battery performance, the vanilla Find X9 lasts 6h51m versus the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max's 6h49m, despite featuring a smaller 7,025 mAh battery. It must be noted, though, that the Find X9 is also the smaller device of the two. Tangentially, the iPhone 17 Pro Max lasts 5h26m.
A similar series of tests by WhyLab yields identical results. The Find X9 Pro comes out on top with a total time of 9h30m, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max lasts just 8h24m.
