The Blackview Active 5 is a new Android tablet available directly from the manufacturer for $247. The model is advertised as being particularly robust, meaning that it should not be irreparably damaged by contact with water or dust, for example, and should also be somewhat resistant to other kinds of potential damage. It is certified according to the requirements of IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H.
The Blackview Active 5 is not a high-end tablet. It comes with a Unisoc T615, so it is unlikely to offer particularly high computing power. It supports LTE connectivity and can be used with two SIM cards as long as you don't need to expand the internal storage, which is 128 GB and so not particularly generous. The RAM is 8 GB, which is not a particularly large amount either.
The panel is an 8.68-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 1,340. A refresh rate of 90 Hz is specified, which promises a somewhat smoother display, provided that the SoC doesn't prove to be a bottleneck. A 6,600 mAh battery is installed, which can be charged with up to 18 watts. The model measures 218.5 x 131.7 millimeters and weighs 510 grams with a thickness of 12.3 millimeters. It runs Android 15 in the form of DocOS P 4.2, but users should not have high expectations regarding future updates.
