Durabook U11: Rugged tablet with up to 1,000 cd/m² runs indefinitely and without interruption
The U11 from Durabook is a new tablet. It is particularly robust, as proven by various certifications such as MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G and IP66, among others. This means that the Durabook U11 can be used on construction sites, in industrial operations or for on-site sampling in dusty environments, for example.
The battery technology is also said to be particularly useful for such applications: since the main battery can be replaced quickly, uninterrupted operation is possible if there are enough replaceable batteries available. Even demanding tasks should be manageable with the tablet, as either an Intel Core i7-1250U or Intel Core i5-1230U is installed, both of which are quite powerful.
The built-in LPDDR4X RAM has a capacity of up to 32 gigabytes. An NVMe SSD is used for mass storage. The screen measures 11.6 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. A display with a brightness of 1,000 cd/m² can be ordered as an option and the U11 is also optionally available with a digitizer. Of the five buttons built into the display, two are freely configurable.
Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 are available. A docking port can always be found on the device, and smart card readers can also be added. For an additional charge, it also comes with a mobile radio module, and serial ports are also on the long list of configuration options. Durabook is yet to list an official price for the tablet, which has already been listed by resellers for over USD 2000.
