Samsung has started teasing the release of a new foldable after introducing the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Fold7 over the summer (curr. $1,899.99 on Amazon). While Samsung offers those three foldables globally, it seems that its next foldable release will be limited to China.
So far, Samsung has shared a silhouette, which we reproduced above and below. From that image, it looks as though the company's next foldable will feature a golden frame, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold7. To that extent, the forthcoming device will maintain the aesthetic of past China-exclusive foldables that Samsung sells under the W24 and W25 series.
The unreleased device also appears to be a conventional book-style foldable rather than Samsung's rumoured tri-fold. Incidentally, the so-called Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to make a public appearance before the end of the year. As far as we can tell, Samsung is only preparing to offer the W26 series as customised Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 models, the standard versions of which it already sells in China. Samsung's 'Heart for the World' or 'Heart of the World' launch event will occur on October 11 at 08:00 UTC.
