Doogee launched the Fire 5 last month and is now reportedly gearing up to expand its rugged smartphone lineup with two new models, the Fire 5 Ultra and Fire 5 Pro. Leaked details from GSMArena suggest that both devices will maintain Doogee’s familiar design language and durability standards, but the Fire 5 Ultra introduces some creative features aimed at people who spend a lot of time outdoors or in demanding environments.
The Fire 5 Ultra will run Android 15 and will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 processor. The phone features a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate and an 8 MP Sony IMX355 front camera for selfies and video calls. Powering it all is a massive 13,000 mAh battery that supports 18 W wired and 5 W reverse charging. This capacity should translate into multi-day endurance for most users, making it particularly practical for outdoor workers, travelers, or anyone who spends long hours away from a charger.
The Ultra model includes 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, expandable up to 2 TB via a microSD card. Its main camera uses a 48 MP OmniVision OV48B2Q sensor. Perhaps the most distinctive aspect of the Fire 5 Ultra is the inclusion of dual camping lights on the rear panel. These lights can produce up to 1,200 lumens and illuminate an area up to eight meters away, functioning as both a flashlight and an SOS signal with three brightness modes.
The Fire 5 Pro shares most of the same structural elements as the Ultra but trims down on hardware to meet a lower price point. It uses the same display size and refresh rate while maintaining MIL-STD-810H certification and IP68 and IP69K protection against dust, water, and high-pressure jets. The Pro model will feature a 13 MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K3L6 main camera and include 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It drops the camping light system but keeps all the essential rugged features, such as the reinforced frame and tough exterior coating.
Both phones include NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a programmable key that allows quick access to frequently used tools like the flashlight or camera. They will reportedly come in Forest Green, Blaze Orange, and Twilight Gray, reflecting the brand’s typical outdoor styling. Despite their large batteries and durable builds, the design still appears cohesive and functional rather than overly bulky. In terms of pricing, the leak suggests that the Fire 5 Pro will retail for around $170, while the Fire 5 Ultra will be slightly higher at approximately $200.
