Whilst Doogee may be a familiar name to some readers, perhaps from our reviews of its devices, the brand isn’t widely known as a smartwatch maker. The company recently introduced the Anywise W1 Pro, a new wearable that bears a strong resemblance to a Garmin Fenix (available here on Amazon). For instance, it sports distinctive screws and control elements reminiscent of Garmin's design. In terms of functionality, the Anywise W1 Pro can keep pace with the far more expensive Fenix models – at least in some aspects. Alongside dual-band GNSS support, it offers the ability to display offline maps and play locally stored music without requiring a constant connection to a smartphone. However, its 2 GB of internal storage is rather modest compared to more premium smartwatches.
AMOLED display and torchlight
The watch case itself is made of stainless steel, whilst Panda glass protects the 1.43-inch AMOLED display. The Anywise W1 Pro features a built-in torchlight, which could come in handy when camping or help improve safety when running in the dark. It is rated for 5 ATM of water resistance, making it suitable for swimming. Doogee claims the smartwatch can last up to 50 days with the always-on display enabled and around 18 days under typical use. Other notable features include a barometer and an optical sensor for tracking health metrics such as heart rate.
Price and availability
Available in three colour options, the Anywise W1 Pro is priced at $170 and can be purchased directly from the company's online shop. Shipping should have already started.
