Garmin’s highly rated Forerunner 265 and 265S have hit their lowest-ever price on Amazon, now available for just $299. The 33% early Cyber Monday discount makes this popular AMOLED running watch a strong value pick in Garmin’s lineup today, sitting between the Forerunner 165 and 570 models.

The Garmin Forerunner 265—along with its smaller 42 mm sized 265S variant—has received a considerable 33% price cut on Amazon, bringing the price down to $299, its lowest so far. As a watch that's consistently received great reviews (check the video below) and continues to be a favourite among runners and everyday athletes, the mid-range Forerunner now enters impulse-buy territory for many shoppers.

Positioned above Garmin’s entry-level Forerunner 165 series, the Forerunner 265 sports a 1.3" (1.1" for the 265S) AMOLED touchscreen, music storage and multi-band GPS for robust tracking under tree cover or among tall buildings, packed into a relatively lightweight package. Naturally, it also comes with Garmin's reputed training readiness metrics and strong performance-tracking tools.

While the Forerunner 265 is not yet discontinued, it has been supplanted by the more premium Forerunner 570, which comes with a built-in microphone and speaker to enable phone calls, upgraded heart-rate sensor, skin temperature sensor and a slightly bigger and brighter display surrounded by an aluminium bezel. This pushes it slightly towards the smartwatch territory, but also pushed the price up a fair bit (curr. $450 on Amazon). If taking calls from your wrist isn't a priority for you, the FR570 might be slight overkill. It also has a slightly lower battery life—10-11 days in smartwatch mode, depending on the model size—compared to the FR265's 13-15 days.

The FR265 has been on the market for over two years, but continues to get regular software updates from Garmin. As such, it remains a well-rounded option for runners who want accurate tracking, structured workouts, reliable heart-rate performance, and excellent battery life for an AMOLED device. It fits especially well for those stepping up from the FR165 or similar entry-level watches, offering an upgrade in GPS tracking and training metrics without the premium price tag of the flagship models.

For athletes seeking a proven, runner-focused smartwatch at a notably more accessible price, this deal may be the best opportunity yet to pick up the Forerunner 265.
