Coros has now released the Pace 4 globally after teasing the smartwatch's impending launch earlier this month. For context, the Pace 4 arrives over two years after the Pace 3 (curr. $229 on Amazon), which Coros launched in August 2023. In short, Coros has included various upgrades between generations for a $20 uplift.
On the one hand, Coros has swapped an LCD for an AMOLED display while retaining a 1.2-inch panel size. Not only that, but the new display offers a 390 x 390-pixel resolution, rather than the 240 x 240-pixel equivalent found on the Pace 3. Moreover, official battery life estimates have increased to 19 days of daily use and sleep tracking, up from 15 days.
Even in a worst case scenario with all satellite systems activated and offline music playback running, the Pace 4 is said to boast over 55% longer battery life than its predecessor. On the other hand, Coros has added a microphone for recording training logs and using voice commands, among other uses. Also, the Pace 4 supports Padel and Pickleball activities that the Pace 3 lacks.
The Pace 4 retains its predecessor's core features too like 5 ATM water resistance, 4 GB of built-in storage, an optical heart rate monitor and an optical pulse oximeter, as well as other sensors. Coros sells the Pace 4 for $249 in black or white finishes with silicone or nylon band materials. Please see the company's website for more details.
