Garmin has issued a new update for one of its wearables, system software version 2.07. This stable release brings three new technical data fields to the model, as well as improvements linked to its depth sensor and log. Plus, Garmin has resolved a passcode-related issue for the Descent X30.

A new software update has arrived for the Garmin Descent X30 scuba diving computer. This is the first stable release for the wearable, which was released in September 2025 as a cheaper alternative to the Descent X50i.

System software version 2.07 brings new technical data fields for the Descent X30. These are the Fraction of Inspired Oxygen (FiO2), Gas Density and GF99. In a post on the Garmin Forum, the company indicates that it has improved in-dive depth monitoring via the device’s sensor. Plus, the stability of the dive computers Dive Log is said to have been optimized.

Garmin has fixed an issue with the Surface Interval (SI) time, which could be truncated in the Main Menu. On top of this, it has resolved a problem where users could not use the hotkey to lock or unlock the device while it was locked with a passcode. This release also comes with Garmin Connect Mobile translations version 2.05, though the benefits of this upgrade are unclear.

You can now download system software version 2.07 for the Garmin Descent X30 (curr. $749.99 at Amazon). To install the update, go to either System Settings on the device or to Garmin Express when the gadget is connected to your computer.
