Just over a week has passed since Garmin last delivered a beta update to the Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro (curr. $539 on Amazon) and associated smartwatches. While the wait for a corresponding stable update goes on, Garmin has reverted to its Beta Program with new firmware.
Specifically, the company has released v23.35 to Beta Program participants, which it is offering as an over-the-air (OTA) update. Despite issuing the update just over 12 hours ago, Garmin already claims to have issued Beta Version 23.25 to 100% of eligible smartwatches. Unfortunately, Dive and ECG features remain disabled, meaning that there will be at least one more beta update before Garmin could transition recent beta development to its stable software channel.
In a forum post, the company clarifies that Beta Version 23.35 makes two overarching changes from v23.31. On the one hand, Garmin believes it has improved inReach Remote stability again, which as a focus of its previous beta build. On the other hand, Beta Version 23.35 should fix an issue that could potentially cause a device shutdown when accessing the activity selection list. Please see Garmin's website for more details.
