Deal | Lenovo's newest 12.1-inch Android tablet is cheaper than ever in this early Black Friday deal

We're seeing a great deal on Lenovo's latest affordable Android tablet, the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus, which turns it into an even better value proposition for anyone looking to get a capable big-screen companion for multimedia consumption and creative use.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus launched at a reasonable $270 price tag, which was already a pretty solid value for the hardware it offers. But thanks to Best Buy’s early Black Friday sale, you can snag this 12.1-inch Android tablet for just $190, a cool $80 off its retail price. The variant that comes with an included style, the Lenovo Pen, is also on sale and can be had for $220 instead of the typical $290.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus is all about delivering the best bang for your buck experience. Its expansive 12.1-inch IPS screen with 2.5K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate is a delight for media consumption, and the included stylus means it's well-suited for creative outlets such as drawing, doodling, and image editing. In our review, we measured a peak brightness of 762 nits (APL 18), which is good enough for outdoor use, and since the tablet uses an IPS LCD, it’s particularly well suited for those who are sensitive to pulse-width modulation (PWM) flickering.

The MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC powering the Idea Tab Plus is good enough for everyday use and some light gaming. The tablet also performed quite impressively in our stress test and showed hardly any signs of serious throttling when under full load. That said, it’s no performance powerhouse; if you’re picking up a tablet primarily for picking, we advise you to check out the Lenovo Legion Tab 3 instead.

The Idea Tab Plus is also equipped with four capable Dolby Atmos speakers and a large 10,200mAh cell that can be charged at up to 45W—it takes about 1 hour and 21 minutes to fully charge this huge battery.

On the software front, the tablet runs Lenovo’s custom ZUI skin based on Android 15 out of the box and is guaranteed to receive OS updates through Android 17 and security updates until 2029.
