The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus is a 12.1-inch Android 15 tablet aimed at students and general users, combining a 2.5K IPS 90 Hz display with native pen support. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC with ARM Mali-G57 MP2 graphics, 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD up to 2 TB. Reviewers note its bright screen (up to 800 nits HBM), 4 Dolby Atmos speakers and lightweight 530 g metal chassis as strong points for media consumption and note-taking. The 10,200 mAh battery supports 45 W fast charging, and connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and USB-C with Power Delivery. Camera hardware (13 MP rear, 8 MP front) and mid-range graphics performance are considered adequate but not standout, making it unsuitable for demanding 3D gaming. Priced around 299 Euro with an average rating of roughly 74–79%, the tablet is positioned as an affordable, well-equipped all-rounder with some compromises in premium features such as HDR and top-tier performance.

Reviews for the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus

78.9% An affordable 12-inch all-rounder with a stylus & fast charging - Lenovo Idea Tab Plus tablet review | Notebookcheck
The Lenovo IdeaTab Plus makes it a pretty easy decision for buyers. For under $290, you get a lightweight and well-equipped 12.1-inch tablet that comes with a stylus. It's primarily intended as a companion for university lectures. However, the IdeaTab Plus is just as well-suited for surfing or streaming, as our review demonstrates.

If I were just about to head into university and had about £300/$300 to spend on a new tablet to see me through my studies, then the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus is exactly the option that I’d want to buy. I do think that you get a better screen and software experience with the OnePlus Pad Go 2, but the Idea Tab Plus still comes out on top for battery life and charging speed.

70% The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus is the budget Android tablet Samsung should be worried about
Source: Android Authority English
The Idea Tab Plus gets a lot right. The display is genuinely better than the best its closest rivals can offer, battery life is strong, PC Mode is more useful than expected, and native keyboard and stylus support gives it a lane that Samsung simply can’t compete in at this price. The size, while great for media, means this is more of a prop-it-up tablet than a hold-it-in-one-hand tablet, but the real drawback is that meager update policy that will only see it get one more full Android version before support is retired.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus succeeds because it focuses on what most tablet buyers actually need. Awarded to products with an average rating of 3.75 stars or higher, the AndroidGuys Smart Pick recognizes a balance of quality, performance, and value. Products with this distinction deserve to be on your short list of purchase candidates. It delivers a large, sharp display, dependable battery life, solid productivity tools, useful stylus support, and thoughtful ecosystem features without inflating the price. Rather than chasing benchmark scores or competing with premium tablets that cost twice as much, Lenovo has built a device that prioritizes everyday usability.

70% Lenovo Idea Tab Plus Review: This Entry-Level Slate Has More Than Just a Pretty Screen
Source: PC Mag English
For $259.99, the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus offers a large, bright screen, solid everyday performance, an attractive design, and expandable storage. Its battery doesn't last as long as competing tablets, and I wish Lenovo were offering a few more years of support, but it's a good Android tablet for the money. Despite its higher price, the base Apple iPad is a better bet, thanks to its longer battery life, longer support window, and superior ecosystem, all of which make it our Editors' Choice.

If you are searching for a large-format media and productivity slate that skips the usual eye-watering flagship price tag, the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus 2026 in Luna Grey presents a seriously interesting hardware configuration. While it’s certainly not perfect, its price point is the main selling point, and for the average user, this tablet will be mostly all they need.

70% Lenovo Idea Tab Plus review: A cheap and cheerful tablet for students
Source: It Pro English
Sadly, this is no tablet for a business. Or anyone with a serious aspiration to illustrate and draw. Our view might have been different if we had the keyboard, but given the low spec processor, it's hard to see this as a professional device. But then, it is aimed at students, and for that purpose, it does just fine. Split-screen views across a surprisingly bright and colorful display will help anyone study. And the battery life is commendable at this price range. But it is worth investing in a better stylus regardless of your use case.

And just like the Yoga Pad, you can pair this with the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, as well as the standard Tab Pen, and a keyboard case. There’s also a simple folio case that doubles as a kickstand and includes a handy divet for storing and charging your stylus. Both tablets are due this month – we only have a release window of September 2025 currently – and come in a range of colours. The Lenovo Yoga Pad is offered in either Luna Grey or Seashell, and starts at 499€, while the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus comes in Luna Grey, Cloud Grey or Sand Rose, and starts at 299€. UK pricing is still to be confirmed. I’ll be getting my hot little hands on both models in the near future, so check back in soon to see what I make of Lenovo’s latest tablets.
