Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10, i7-14700HX RTX 5060
This article aggregates specifications and independent review scores for the Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10 configured with Intel’s Core i7-14700HX and Nvidia’s RTX 5060. Critics praise strong 1600p gaming performance and a standout 165Hz OLED panel, while noting weak battery life and volatile, sometimes confusing pricing across configurations.

Pros

+ Strong 1600p gaming performance
+ Outstanding 165Hz OLED display
+ Quiet fans under load
+ Solid build quality
+ Modern connectivity options

Cons

- Short battery life
- Confusing inconsistent pricing
- Glossy screen reflections
- Value depends on SKU
- Upgrades get expensive

The Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10 pairs Intel’s Core i7-14700HX with an Nvidia RTX 5060 laptop GPU and 24GB of DDR5 memory, targeting gaming and demanding creator workloads. Reviews consistently report strong real-world performance at 1600p, with settings flexibility to better leverage the 165Hz refresh rate. A major highlight is the 15.1-inch 2560×1600 OLED display, praised for vibrant visuals and suitability for color-focused work. The chassis is described as sturdy and relatively portable for a gaming laptop, with solid input devices and up-to-date networking and ports. Battery life is repeatedly flagged as a weak point despite the 80Wh battery, and the glossy panel can be reflective in bright environments. Overall value hinges on catching the right configuration at the right price, as Lenovo’s pricing and SKU spread are seen as inconsistent.

Reviews for the Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10, i7-14700HX RTX 5060

80% Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10 Review: An Affordable OLED Dream for PC Gamers
Source: PC Mag English
Lenovo’s Legion 5i Gen 10 offers compelling value for gamers in its entry-level configurations, particularly when on sale at retailers like Walmart. With a Core i7-14700HX and RTX 5060 inside, it handles 1600p gaming well, backed by a vibrant OLED display, excellent input devices, and up-to-date connectivity. (All this also makes it a capable productivity platform.) While the Legion 5i's battery life isn’t the best, it should last long enough for meaningful running time away from an outlet. The real wildcard, however, is pricing. For the Legion 5i to be a true value, you must catch it at just the right moment. Lenovo's own prices are unpredictable at best, and don't accurately reflect what's available at other retailers, at worst. If you can snag it on sale as we did, it’s a compelling system that earns our Editors' Choice award for midrange gaming laptops.

Yes! It provides great performance for the price, and its OLED display is outstanding. It's a great pick for gamers, but it's more than just a gaming laptop. Creators engaged in color-accurate work will love the bright, high-res OLED display and the laptop's portability relative to other gaming laptops. For everything it can do, the Legion 5i Gen 10 is a great value at less than $1,600.

After testing was done, with maybe the exception of Dragon’s Dogma 2, most titles on the Lenovo Legion 5i ran very well and could easily be tweaked to take better advantage of its 165Hz refresh rate. Ultimately, the Lenovo Legion 5i 15IRX10 is a fantastic laptop for the price and features one of the best screens I’ve used in recent memory. The Lenovo Legion 5i 15IRX10 is one of the best laptops in its price range and offers performance and visuals that can compete with the best of them.

80% Lenovo Legion 5i review: Great performance, confusing pricing
Source: PC World English
The Legion 5i 15IRX10 has plenty going for it as an affordable gaming laptop, assuming you steer clear of Lenovo’s inscrutable pricing and just go with the Walmart model closest to our test configuration. For $1,199, the Legion 5i 15IRX10 is offering a lot. It has an excellent display for gaming and entertainment, a sturdy build, solid performance, and surprisingly quiet fans. Though the design is decently portable, the battery doesn’t last long. So you’ll want to bring the charger if you plan to do much on the go. A lot of the value here hinges on the low price though. With upgraded internals, the price of different configurations can truly soar, and the quality of this laptop doesn’t quite feel like it stacks up against $2,000 systems. But as a low-cost option, it’s great.
