Zweibrüder is a new start-up from Solingen, Germany that is planning to enter the flashlight market and can draw on lots of experience, as its founder Tobias Schleder started out more than 20 years ago as a temp at Ledlenser. He left the company in 2024 for a fresh start. Schleder is the son of Rainer Opolka, according to the company’s first Instagram post. Opolka and his twin brother founded Zweibrüder Optoelectronics, which became known for its LED Lenser products. Opolka is advising Schleder as he builds this new company.
Zweibrüder has already shared initial product details in a recently published Instagram post. One planned model is named the ZB6T, which is a USB-C flashlight with a rechargeable 21700 battery. The flashlight apparently uses multiple light sources and has a throw of up to 328 yards, an output of up to 3,000 lumens and battery life of up to 50 hours. The latter probably applies to a low-power mode.
The official website is currently still under construction. For now, Zweibrüder is sharing early information mainly via social media and its Instagram channel in particular. According to information Zweibrüder provided to Notebookcheck, orders for the ZB6T are scheduled to open this December, while a smaller EDC flashlight is planned for 2026. Later, the brand’s lineup is also supposed to feature headlamps.
Zweibrüder is already active in the flashlight market with a brand called Duracell Lights and serves as the European distributor for those products. However, those lights are targeting the budget segment. Therefore, flashlights sold under the company’s own name will be more expensive and offer more features. Zweibrüder aims to cover the premium segment, and the design of the ZB6T already points in that direction, even though some technical specifications are still unknown at this point.
