In our review, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite proves to be durable and well-made. With a very attractive update promise, the mid-range tablet is particularly suitable for price-conscious users who value long-term software maintenance but don't want to invest a lot of money in a tablet.
Samsung's ecosystem and the excellent stylus operation are further selling points of the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, which is also available as a 5G model. However, those who primarily value performance and smooth operation should consider other models with more modern processors and more powerful GPUs, as the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite falls noticeably short in this area and quickly reaches its limits.
Read here where the Samsung tablet also exhibits weaknesses.
Samsung cuts back noticeably on the processor
The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite has to make do with the comparatively weak power of the Exynos 1380. In our tests, this performance deficit becomes manifest in the form of stuttering and not entirely smooth operation.
The SoC, which is also found in the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, is (still) sufficient for everyday use, but lacks the high performance found in many other tablets currently on the market. In direct comparison to competitors with more modern chipsets, such as the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, the Tab S10 Lite is less future-proof in terms of performance.
In contrast to the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, which is equipped with the slightly more powerful Exynos 1580 the S10 Lite falls noticeably behind in the benchmarks. The Mali-G68 MP5 also doesn't really impress in the 4K graphics test, reaching only around 6 FPS.
