Uncharted is a PlayStation franchise that has made its mark on the world of video games, featuring the adventures of Nathan Drake as he searches for treasure around the globe. And in 2012, Naughty Dog's franchise had already sold more than 17 million copies. But in the face of this resounding success, Microsoft wanted to launch its own game inspired by Uncharted on the Xbox One.
This information was revealed by Liam Robertson on the YouTube channel DidYouKnowGaming. And that's not all, because he also reveals other details about it, such as the game's code name, which was Project Ranger.
Developed by Black Tusk Studios, which was later renamed The Coalition, it was supposed to feature gameplay inspired by a mix of Uncharted and Mission: Impossible. The players also had to embody a character named Cole, played by actor Liam McIntyre. In addition, visual elements were created by students at the Savannah College of Art and Design and were also shown at E3 2013.
But while this project may have seemed promising, divergences appeared regarding the creative aspects of the game, putting an end to the collaboration between the development team and Microsoft. As a result, the project was canceled, and the developers had to turn their attention to Gears of Wars.
However, Liam Robertson's video reveals visuals and concept art, giving players a glimpse of what the game might have looked like. But don't expect any news about it, as the project has been completely abandoned.
