Earlier this year, Naughty Dog showed off its upcoming creation, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. While the trailer didn't reveal much in the way of anything, its appearance was still fairly exciting as it proved the company actually has something in the works.
A fresh piece of news on the topic will most likely disappoint those eagerly waiting for the game. Over at ResetEra, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier said Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is unlikely to launch in 2026. Essentially, there won't be a Naughty Dog exclusive on the PlayStation until the tail end of the 5th generation. Apart from remakes and remasters, this will be the only console exclusive from the studio this generation because the studio has been silent about The Last of Us 3.
Naughty Dog's inaction notwithstanding, the PlayStation 5 series still has few exclusives lined up for it. While Insomniac is yet to show off Marvel's Wolverine in any capacity, we have Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2 to look forward to in 2025. And then there's the Days Gone remaster, too. Everything except Bloodborne, clearly.
