The OnePlus 15R is scheduled to launch globally on December 17, 2025. It will be positioned as a more affordable alternative to the OnePlus 15. A new leak has now surfaced, revealing camera changes compared to its predecessor.
A new leak from @OnePlusClub on X has detailed the camera specifications of the OnePlus 15R. According to the source, the 15R will feature a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX906 1/1.56″ sensor and an 8MP IMX355 ultrawide sensor. For comparison, the OnePlus 13R had a triple rear camera setup that featured a 50MP telephoto lens in addition to the 50MP LYT700 1/1.56″ primary and 8MP ultrawide sensors.
Notably, the 15R is said to support 4K video recording at up to 120fps. Additionally, the phone is confirmed to feature the new DetailMax Engine, first introduced with the OnePlus 15 as an alternative to Hasselblad tuning. The company confirmed the selfie camera details: a 32MP sensor that supports autofocus and 4K video recording at 30fps.
The OnePlus 15R's key highlight is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a new high-end chipset from Qualcomm. The phone is also confirmed to feature a 7,400mAh battery with 80W fast charging (20K Anker power bank curr. $36 on Amazon).
