A leak has shared a first look at TrimUI's next handheld release. A return to vertical handhelds, the new TrimUI Brick is said to surpass the current model with at least two key upgrades.

Anbernic is preparing to release what is likely its final handheld of 2025 in all likelihood. For the time being, Anbernic has not publicly mentioned a launch timeline yet. With that being said, all signs point toward the company launching the RG477V before the end of the year as a more powerful alternative to the RG406V (curr. $159.99 on Amazon).

Early evidence shared by Retro Gaming With Deadfred on X indicates that TrimUI may not be far behind with a cheaper rival of its own. To recap, TrimUI launched the Smart Pro S last month with several improvements over the older Smart Pro. Now, a photo showcasing a proposed new TrimUI Brick has emerged on Chinese social media.

Reportedly, the next TrimUI Brick will feature a 4-inch display rather than the 3.2-inch and 1,024 x 768-pixel panel found in the current model. Moreover, the new model is said to adopt dual joysticks in place of the gap that exists on the original TrimUI Brick. Unfortunately, more details remain unknown for now. However, we would be surprised if the device pictured officially launched before the start of 2026.
