A new benchmark has offered fresh insights into the state of Intel Panther Lake gaming handhelds. Equipped with 10 Xe3 cores packaged within an Arc B370 iGPU, the first Panther Lake handheld has already been spotted boosting beyond 35 W even at this early stage.

Last week, the first concrete evidence emerged that Intel's Panther Lake platform was being used as a base for future gaming handhelds. Now, popular X account @momomo_us has turned up a fresh leak relating to the same device.

To recap, an unreleased OneXPlayer X1 gaming handheld appeared in several recent Geekbench listings with Intel's Core Ultra 5 338H processor. So far, all OneXPlayer releases have featured 10.95-inch displays with 2,560 x 1,440-pixel native resolutions, including the OneXPlayer X1 Pro we reviewed earlier this year (curr. $1,399 on Amazon). Thus, there is a good chance that any future OneXPlayer X1 release retains these display characteristics.

To that end, the FurMark listing reproduced below confirms the benchmark was run on a Core Ultra 5 338H-powered device with the same resolution as all previous OneXPlayer X1 releases. Therefore, it seems probable that this benchmark relates to the same Panther Lake handheld recently found on Geekbench.

On the one hand, FurMark reiterates that Panther Lake handhelds feature the Arc B370, a 10-core iGPU that operates between 400 MHz and 2,300 MHz based on the information below. On the other hand, the benchmark also reports that the device features a 36 W TDP. Incidentally, this is only 1 W short of the MSI Claw 8 AI Plus. At this stage, it remains to be seen how Panther Lake Xe3 cores will translate into gaming performance improvements over the AMD Hawk Point, AMD Strix Point and Intel Lunar Lake options that already exist.
