Over two months have passed since GPD launched the Win 5 globally on Indiegogo. Shortly beforehand, the company warned that it would not initially have 128 GB RAM variants available to order outside China.
Then in mid-November GPD teased that 128 GB variants were coming, but without elaborating further. Moreover, the company confirmed that the Win 5 would also be available in what it described as a 'panda' colour option, just like the Win 4 2025 and Win Mini 2025 before it (curr. $1,509 on Amazon).
Now, both have been dropped without warning. Currently, GPD is only selling 128 GB RAM options with 4 TB of storage. As a result, this helps the Win 5 cost over 70% more when optioned with 128 GB of RAM than its base SKU. This price does not include a Ryzen AI Max 395+ APU though, which features a considerably more powerful Radeon 8060S iGPU than the Radeon 8050S in the cheapest Win 5.
For the time being, a Win 5 with 128 GB of RAM can only be purchased in white for $2,653. Unfortunately, it is unclear when exactly this variant will begin shipping beyond a vague commitment to sometime this month. Apparently, the out-of-stock black variant is ready to ship, though. Please see GPD's Indiegogo campaign for more details.
