Epic Games has started a new month with a new round of highly rated game giveaways. To recap, the storefront gave away Universe for Sale last week, which won awards for its art style and narrative structure. For reference, Universe for Sale will remain available to claim until 16:00 UTC today.
As expected, the storefront's first December giveaway proper covers two games worth a combined $39.98 when redeemed together. Specifically, Epic Games has dropped The Darkside Detective and Jackbox Party Pack 4 to $0.00 apiece until December 11. For reference, both games will remain free until 16:00 UTC, too.
Moreover, The Darkside Detective and Jackbox Party Pack 4 are compatible with Xbox controllers like 8BitDo's popular Ultimate 2 (curr. $47.99 on Amazon). Currently, Jackbox Party Pack 4 is the better-received game of the two on Steam with an Overwhelmingly Positive rating from almost 2,000 reviews. With that being said, the game averages 78/100 on OpenCritic and about the same on Metacritic across its multi-platform release.
