More specifically, the teaser cover for the first mystery free game has the The Game Awards logo. If this theory holds true, there's a chance that it could be a title that has won an award in any of the previous years. It's also possible that the freebie will be among the nominees this year.

Some are also speculating that the first free game of this holiday special event will be a Hitman title. There appears to be no specific reason behind this guess, but it's worth noting that Hitman 2016 was nominated for the Best Action/Adventure Game category at The Game Awards 2016.
