Lego has returned with a new gaming handheld Creator set after summer's release of the Lego Game Boy (curr. $59.95 on Amazon). This time around, the company has not recreated a gaming handheld in particular. Instead, the Creator 31380 3-in-1 Retro Gaming Console Set delivers three builds to make within one package.
Arguably, the primary one is a facsimile of budget retro gaming handhelds. Pictured above and below, this build resembles devices like the Anbernic RG505 but with a more exaggerated design. According to Lego, the handheld features two moving joysticks and buttons apiece, as well as a choice of three 'game cartridges' to insert into its 1:1-esque display.
Alternatively, the 268-piece set can be transformed into a miniature gaming cabinet or classic desktop PC. The Retro Gaming Console set is up for pre-order on Lego's website and retailers for $19.99 in the US and £17.99 in the UK, among other markets. As it stands, pre-orders should start shipping on January 1, 2026. Unfortunately, there are no suggestions that this set will be transformed into a working handheld like the recent BrickBoy crowdfunding campaign for the Lego Game Boy.
