Game Console has silently introduced a new variant in its R36 series after introducing the standard R36H at the start of the year (curr. $57.50 on Amazon). This time, the company has released the R36H Pro Max, which it equips with a 4.2-inch IPS display that outputs at 1,024 × 768 pixels.
Internally, the device relies on the familiar Rockchip RK3326 and its four ARM Cortex-A35 CPU cores. Paired with 1 GB of DDR3L RAM, the RK3326 also brings a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU to the table to emulate PlayStation, Dreamcast and some Nintendo 64 games. To achieve this, Game Console has pre-installed ArkOS 2.0, an Ubuntu fork that also supports a range of Anbernic and Powkiddy gaming handhelds.
Moreover, the R36H Pro Max features a 3,500 mAh battery too, as well as Wi-Fi for local multiplayer and OTA updates. Currently, the R36H Pro Max can be picked up on AliExpress for around $48 with a 64 GB microSD card before factoring in any discounts. At the time of writing, the device remains available in black, white and translucent purple colour options. Please see AliExpress for more details.
