The Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini has been available to pre-order on Indiegogo since October with shipping originally scheduled to begin in late November. However, the date had to be pushed to December due to what it described as platform policy requirements. True to its promise of beginning shipping on December 10, Ayaneo has begun sending out orders.
According to an update on its Indiegogo page, it will ship approximately 500 units out tomorrow, December 11. It also stated that it's ramping up production so that it can ship the remaining orders within the next week. You can check if your order is among the first batch here.
As revealed in a previous update, Ayaneo will ship Indiegogo pre-orders first before shipping pre-orders that were made on its website. Those who wish to secure an earlier shipping time are advised to place an order on its website as it is no longer accepting pledges on Indiegogo.
At the time of writing, the Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini is still available at its pre-sale price of $69.99 for the base model with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage while the 3GB RAM version with 64GB storage is priced at $79.99. Once the pre-sales period ends, the prices will increase to $89.99 and $99.99 respectively.
The Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini has a 4.2-inch 1280 x 960 60Hz LCD panel with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a brightness level of up to 500 nits. It is powered by MediaTek's Helio G90T processor and packs a 4,500mAh battery capacity with 18W charging. It also features a MicroSD card for storage expansion, an audio jack, and a USB-C port.
The Pocket Air Mini features Hall Effect thumbsticks with RGB lights, Hall Effect triggers, x-input vibration, a cooling fan, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 5. The handheld runs Android 11 out of the box with the AyaHome custom interface on top.
