It has been weeks since Ayaneo announced the Pocket Air Mini (not to be confused with the Pocket S Mini coming in 2026) as its new entry-level Android-powered retro gaming handheld. While the handheld has been available to pre-order in China, that has not been the case for global buyers.
Previously, Ayaneo announced that it plans to open pre-orders for the Pocket Air Mini in mid-October for global buyers. However, instead of through a crowdfunding platform, it will be available through its own website. Now, that decision has changed as Ayaneo has announced that the Pocket Air Mini will be available via Indiegogo.
In a statement posted on its Discord channel, Ayaneo announced that the Pocket Air Mini campaign on Indiegogo will go live at 8:00 AM EST on October 14, 2025. It also said that those who subscribe to the Pocket Air Mini's page will receive a free screen protector. To subscribe, visit the Pocket Air Mini's official product page and enter your email address in the required box.
As previously announced, the Pocket Air Mini will feature a 4.2-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, a 1280 x 960 resolution, and a brightness of up to 500 nits. It will have MediaTek's Helio G90T processor under the hood and will be available in two configurations: 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and 3GB RAM + 64GB storage. The Pocket Air Mini will come in Aurora Black, Retro White, and Retro Power.
For connectivity, Ayaneo has added a Type-C port, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0. The handheld will also have a MicroSD card slot and an audio jack, and will pack a 4500mAh battery capacity. It will also have Hall Effect joysticks (with RGB lighting) and triggers, a cooling fan, and ABXY buttons in Nintendo's layout. Ayaneo will ship it with a custom interface on top of Android 11. It already demoed the software a few weeks ago.
The base model of the Pocket Air Mini will have a starting price of $69.99 for a limited time. It will then go up to $74.99, which is the early bird price, before settling at $89.99 as the retail price. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM version will have a limited-time offer price of $79.99, then an early bird price of $84.99 before settling at a retail price of $99.99. Even at its retail price, the Pocket Air Mini is still Ayaneo's cheapest handheld ever.
