Ayaneo shares Pocket Vert global release plans while offering hints about pre-order dates
Earlier this week, Ayaneo finally shared full specifications for its long-awaited Pocket Vert gaming handheld. At the time, the company only confirmed Chinese availability with no mention of when the device would be available globally. However, it has now elaborated on from where the Pocket Vert will be orderable outside China.
Specifically, the company has confirmed that the Pocket Vert is coming to Indiegogo, which remains Ayaneo's preferred crowdfunding platform. For example, Ayaneo brought the AM01S, Pocket DS and Pocket Air Mini to Indiegogo in the last few months alone. Currently, Ayaneo has hinted that the Pocket Vert will be available to back by 'early next month', which likely means before the middle of December at the latest. For reference, the handheld will ship with the following hardware:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon Plus Gen 1 SoC
- Up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM & 256 GB UFS 3.1 flash storage
- 3.5-inch IPS display, 1,440 x 1,600 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 450 nits peak brightness
- 6,000 mAh battery
Ayaneo hopes to launch the Pocket Vert in its home market for CNY 1,699 (~$240). For context, this would make the device between CNY 50 and CNY 250 (~$7-$35) more expensive than an equivalent Pocket Micro Classic (curr. $249 on Amazon). Thus, a Pocket Vert global launch price of between $249 and $279 seems likely at this stage.
