Anker has finally released the Prime Charging Base (150W, 3 Ports) in the US. This accessory was rumored earlier this year, alongside two new power banks, which have already been released.
The new Anker Prime Charging Base is designed to charge some of the brand’s Prime power banks, including the more recently released Prime Power Bank (26K, 300W) and Prime Power Bank (20K, 220W) models. The devices are connected using pogo pins, with the charger delivering up to 150W power thanks to the Anker Protocol. This should allow you to fully recharge the 26K power bank in just 47 minutes.
Anker’s Prime Charging Base has three further ports. These are 140W and 100W USB-C ports, and a 22.5W USB-A port. The maximum combined output is 150W, with power said to be distributed intelligently. You can view real-time charging information in the Anker App when connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Through the app, users can also expect to receive over-the-air (OTA) updates for the device. Plus, ActiveShield 4.0 technology protects against overheating, checking the temperature over 10,000,000 times daily. It measures 4.1 x 4.1 x 0.9 inches (~103 × 103 × 23 mm) and weighs 12.35 oz (~350 g).
You can now buy the Anker Prime Charging Base (150W, 3 Ports) at the brand’s online store or its Amazon storefront in the US for $99.99. It is already available in the UK, though it is unclear when it will roll out more widely in Europe.
