New Xiaomi Desktop Charging Station 140W launching soon

The Xiaomi Desktop Charging Station 140W will soon launch in China via a crowdfunding campaign. The accessory offers a total of eight outputs, designed to help you organise your desk.

At the front of the Xiaomi Desktop Charging Station 140W are two USB-C ports, each offering an up to 140W output, and two USB-A ports, offering up to 120W and 5W power, respectively. The latter is designed for charging devices like headphones or a smartwatch in low current mode. When all four ports are in use, the power can be split in various ways, such as 65W+45W+22.5W+5W or 90W+20W+22.5W+5W (USB-C1+USB-C2+USB-A1+USB-A2).

On the top and at the rear of Xiaomi’s desktop charger are four AC outlets, two two-pin sockets and two five-pin sockets, with a total power output of 2,500W. Plus, it supports various fast charging protocols like PD3.1, QC4+ and PPS. The accessory measures 95 x 71 x 53 mm (~3.7 x 2.8 x 2.1 inches) and weighs 493 g (~17.4 oz).  

In China, the Xiaomi Desktop Charging Station 140W will crowdf on the brand’s YouPin platform. Backers will be asked to pledge CNY 249 (~$36) for the device, which is expected to retail for CNY 299 (~$43) in the future. Whether or when this product could be released in other markets like Europe is unclear; here, the company already sells accessories like the Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 10000 with Built-in Stand (curr. €39.99 at Mi Store DE).
