Almost a month has passed since rumours emerged of new gaming handhelds being prepared with Intel Panther Lake processors. To recap, VideoCardz reported that the Arc B380 and its 12 Xe3 cores was the target iGPU. While prior leaks indicated potential processors could be Core Ultra X7 356H and or the Core Ultra X7 358H, VideoCardz believed that this would a separate handheld-focused processor SKU altogether.
However, new evidence found on Geekbench suggests that might not be the case for all Panther Lake handhelds. Instead, it appears that One-Netbook is developing its next OneXPlayer X1 with the standard Core Ultra 5 338H and an Arc B370 iGPU. A 12-core split into 4 Performance and 8 Efficient clusters, the Arc B370 itself is rumoured to feature 10 Xe3 cores and a 2.4 GHz boost clock.
For reference, One-Netbook has released OneXPlayer X1 series handhelds with Intel Lunar Lake and Meteor Lake processors, as well as AMD Hawk Point and Strix Point variants (curr. $1,399 on Amazon). So far, the Panther Lake-based OneXPlayer X1 does not outscore any of its predecessors in Geekbench 6's single-core or multi-core benchmarks. With that being said, we doubt this represents final performance, nor do we know the wattage under which these benchmarks were conducted.
Setting the scores aside, the Core Ultra 5 338H is expected to command a 65-80 W TDP while boosting up to 4.7 GHz. Moreover, Geekbench outlines that the next OneXPlayer X1 will feature 32 GB of RAM as a memory option. Presumably, we will see the first Panther Lake gaming handhelds being officially unveiled next month during or slightly after CES 2026, which runs between January 6 and January 9 in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, other details about the next OneXPlayer X1 remain unknown for now.
