The first Intel Panther Lake-based devices are not expected to officially arrive until next month. Based on recent leaks, it looks like the Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable and a new OneXPlayer X1 (curr. $1,399 on Amazon) could debut during CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
In the meantime, the Core Ultra X9 388H has become the latest mobile Panther Lake processor to hit the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Based on prior leaks, the Core Ultra 9 X9 388H will be the most powerful option in the line-up with 4 Performance, 8 Efficient and 4 Low Power cores. Although Geekbench does not go into that much detail, it indicates that the Core Ultra 9 X9 388H is a 16-core processor that can boost up to 5.1 GHz.
Additionally, the listing contains references to the Arc B390, a new iGPU with 12 cores built around Intel's Xe3 architecture. Reportedly, the Core Ultra X9 388H commands between a 65 W and 80 W TDP too. While the listing does not reveal TDP values, it does allow us to compare theoretical performance numbers with other recent AMD and Intel processors.
As the screenshot below shows, the Core Ultra X9 388H achieved 3,057 single-core and 17,687 multi-core scores in Geekbench 6.5.0 with 64 GB of RAM. While the latter trails what the Core Ultra 9 285HX achieved in our tests, this score puts the Core Ultra X9 388H roughly on par with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 while powering past the Core Ultra 9 285H and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Single-core performance is impressive too, with a higher score than the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Core Ultra 9 285H in our benchmarks that matches what the Core Ultra 9 285HX managed.
