GMKtec was relatively late to the Arrow Lake-H series when it unveiled the EVO-T1 in the spring. Released globally in July (curr. $999 on Amazon) and then reviewed by us in August, the EVO-T1 impressed thanks to its Core Ultra 9 285H processor that combined decent CPU and iGPU performance, as well as its effective cooling solution and its thoughtful design. Moreover, the EVO-T1 packed 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and three M.2 SSD slots into its compact housing, plus its OCuLink and USB4 eGPU expansion options.
Roughly six months later and GMKtec has already confirmed details of an EVO-T1 successor. Showcased at Intel's latest Technology Innovation and Industry Ecology Conference, the EVO-T2 is the first Panther Lake-based mini-PC that we are aware of. According to GMKtec, the EVO-T2 will be available with a 'Panther Lake H 12xe' chipset set to be marketed under the Core Ultra 300H series.
Also referred to as a 'flagship mobile processor' by GMKtec, the unnamed processor is likely a more powerful alternative to the Core Ultra X7 358H recently spotted in Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Book6 Pro. While GMKtec adds that this processor will have an 80 W TDP at its disposal, it will match the Core Ultra X7 358H with 12 Xe3 iGPU cores. In other words, Intel's successor to the Core Ultra 9 285H may well feature the same Arc B390 iGPU as its Core Ultra X7 358H sibling.
On top of that, the unnamed processor is said to deliver up to 180 TOPS of AI performance. Separately, GMKtec has confirmed that the EVO-T2 will be available with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 10,677 MT/s and 16 TB of storage split across two SSD slots. GMKtec expects to reveal more information about the EVO-T2 in early 2026.
