Machenike has recently introduced the GTR mini PC that's powered by the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. This is a top-of-the-line processor in the Strix Point lineup, which also brings the Radeon 890M, a decent-performing iGPU. The mini PC is also available in a bit more affordable configuration, which packs the Ryzen 7 H 255.
This CPU is a rebadged version of the Ryzen 7 8745HS, and while it launched as a China-only processor, mini PC manufacturers have started to offer systems with it in the global market. The Beelink Ser9 Pro and the Minisforum X1 are two examples of such PCs.
Nonetheless, the other aspects of the Machenike GTR mini PC with the Ryzen 7 H 255 are the same as the other variant. That means it retains the USB4 port found in the upper-end model, which brings eGPU support. Of course, an OCuLink port would've made things much better, as this interface can offer lower performance loss.
Another thing to note is that the Ryzen 7 H 255 comes with the Radeon 780M. This is a capable iGPU found in many gaming handhelds. As for the other ports, they are:
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x 2.5G RJ45 Ethernet
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
For wireless connectivity, the mini PC has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Other notable aspects include two DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM slots, dual PCIe M.2 slots for storage drives (2 TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD curr. $182.31 on Amazon), and a sleek 0.74-liter chassis. The Ryzen 7 H 255 variant of the Machenike GTR costs CNY 3,999 in China, around $563. There's no word from the manufacturer about a global launch yet, but Machenike isn't known for offering all of its products in the international market.
