Aoostar teases Nex395 mini-PC release with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and up to 128 GB RAM

Aoostar has just released its innovative EG02 eGPU dock after refreshing its Maco mini-PC earlier this month (curr. $469 on Amazon). Nonetheless, the company has returned to teasing the Nex395, a mini-PC that it first unveiled in July.

From what we can tell, Aoostar has given the Nex395 a modest redesign since the mini-PC's debut during the summer. Previously, the Nex395 resembled Aoostar's XG76 and XG76XT eGPUs with a squared-off housing and pronounced cutouts to aid cooling performance. Now, the Aostar Nex395 has more of a swooping look to it while ditching some of its more ostentatious motifs in the process.

Nonetheless, the Nex395 will retain AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU that Aoostar will offer with up to 128 GB of RAM. Also equipped with a Radeon 8060S iGPU, the Nex395 should be about as powerful as the GMKtec EVO-X2 that we reviewed in September, as well as Asus' latest ROG Flow Z13 that leverages the same Strix Halo APU as its mini-PC counterparts. Earmarked as 'coming soon', Aoostar is said to have confirmed that a second USB4 port can be found on the Nex395's rear to complement the one shown in Aoostar's latest teaser image.
