The AtomMan G1 Pro contains a high-end AMD Dragon Range Refresh APU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 desktop GPU despite its relatively compact housing. Also packing a built-in power supply, Minisforum's latest mini-PC release starts for under $1,450 with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM pre-installed too.

Minisforum has updated its AtomMan series with the AtomMan G1 Pro after previewing the mini-PC last month. For context, the AtomMan G1 Pro arrives over a year after the AtomMan G7 and AtomMan G7 Ti (curr. $1,389 on Amazon), but with a significantly more powerful CPU and GPU combination than either of those mini-PCs.

Specifically, Minisforum equips the AtomMan G1 Pro with a Ryzen 9 8945HX APU from AMD's Dragon Range refresh series. Equipped with 16 cores and 32 threads, the Ryzen 9 8945HX delivers 5.4 GHz peak clock speeds with 80 MB of L2+L3 combined cache and 100 W of performance at its disposal in 'Best Mode'. Alternatively, the AtomMan G1 Pro delivers 60 W and 80 W of performance to its APU in dedicated Office and Gaming modes, respectively.

Moreover, the AtomMan G1 Pro leverages an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 desktop GPU that combines 3,840 CUDA cores with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM running on a 128-bit memory bus. For reference, while the GeForce RTX 5060 easily surpasses the older GeForce RTX 4060 in our tests, it also comes up about 14% short of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. Theoretically this GPU is upgradeable too, although a 145 W TDP will limit upgrades somewhat, as will the mini-PC's built-in 350 W power supply.

As the images below show, Minisforum has included various ports across the AtomMan G1 Pro despite its 315 x 215 x 57 mm case size. With the GeForce RTX 5060 providing DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 ports, the AtomMan G1 Pro itself contains five USB ports and 5 Gbps LAN. Currently, the AtomMan G1 Pro starts at $1,439.90 with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and 1 TB of storage before factoring in any discounts. Although the mini-PC should eventually be available as a barebones unit for $1,039, this variant is out of stock at the time of writing. Incidentally, Minisforum's EurozoneCanadian and UK websites only show a 32 GB RAM/1 TB SSD variant.
