GMKtec has revealed more details about the EVO-T1, having teased its new mini-PC earlier this week on Chinese social media. To recap, the company previously confirmed that the EVO-T1 would ship with the Core Ultra 9 285H from Intel's Arrow Lake-H family. The mini-PC should also be available with up to 128 GB of RAM, which is also the peak configuration of the EVO-X2 (curr. $1,999.99 on Amazon).
According to GMKtec, it did not choose the Core Ultra 9 285H just for its 8 P cores, 16 E cores and Arc 140T iGPU. Instead, it hopes that the EVO-T1 can utilise the processor's 99 TOPS (INT8) NPU to master AI applications, such as Infinity AI PC Knowledge Assistant and Flowy 3.0. While it is still unclear whether the EVO-T1 features Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, we can make out an OCuLink port for eGPU expansion. In summary, it looks like GMKtec has included the following ports:
- 2x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DC-in
- 1x DisplayPort
- 2x Ethernet
- 1x HDMI
- 1x OCuLink
- 5x USB Type-A
- 2x USB Type-C (type unknown)
Moreover, the EVO-T1 contains a pair of M.2 for PCIe SSDs. Unfortunately, GMKtec has not yet indicated exactly when it will open EVO-T1 pre-orders. Instead, it has merely outlined that the mini-PC will launch in July. This window may only apply to China though, as has been the case with previous GMKtec releases. Whatever the case, the EVO-T1 will not be available until the summer at the earliest.
