A few days have passed since a new AMD Strix Halo-powered mini-PC appeared on Geekbench. Produced by a relatively unknown company called Bosgame, the M5 AI Mini Desktop featured the same Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU found in the GMKtec EVO-X2 (curr. $1,499.99 on Amazon) that landed at the end of April.
Initially, Bosgame opened pre-orders with a relatively sparse product listing. Now, it has populated the listing and confirmed early shipment dates in the process. For reference, the M5 AI Mini Desktop features the following ports:
- 2x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DC-in
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (8K/60 Hz)
- 1x HDMI 2.1 (8K/60 Hz)
- 1x RJ45 (2.5 Gigabit)
- 1x SDXC card slot
- 2x USB 2.0 Type-A (480 Mbps)
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 2x USB 4 (8K/60 Hz)
Moreover, Bosgame has included a performance mode switch, which is flanked by an SDXC card slot and a small power button. At the time of writing, the M5 AI Mini Desktop only comes with 128 GB of RAM to complement AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, despite the appearance of a 64 GB RAM SKU on Geekbench. For the time being, Bosgame is offering the M5 AI Mini Desktop for $1,699 discounted from $2,699. Currently, the company hopes to begin shipping pre-orders on June 10.
