OnePlus will launch its Pad 3 tablet next week globally. Like its other tablets, the OnePlus Pad 3 will feature a large display—a 13.2-inch one presumably—but a new leak now claims the company may be working on another tablet, but this time a much smaller one.
As revealed on Weibo by leaker Smart Pikachu, OnePlus is currently evaluating a new, compact tablet. While the leaker doesn't reveal any more information on that, this tablet is unlikely to be presented before the very end of the year. That is, of course, assuming it's greenlit for production.
Compact tablets look to have become popular lately. Lenovo recently launched the Legion Y700 in China, and both Xiaomi and RedMagic are expected to present small tablets in June, with iQOO to follow in the second half of the year. It's no surprise that OnePlus may favor an entry into that niche. Like OnePlus's other tablet offerings, though, this potential compact tablet may launch first as an Oppo model, before getting the OnePlus badge in China and, potentially, on the global market.
Tablet aspirations aside, the leaker also claims that OnePlus is working on both the OnePlus 14 and Ace6 series, potentially indicating that the next-gen OnePlus flagship could be branded as the OnePlus 14 and not the OnePlus 15 as rumored. All devices in development can be expected to debut in the last quarter of the year, and with 1.5K displays—a slight downgrade from the WQHD+ screen on the OnePlus 13.
