Vivo has expanded its Android tablet offering just over a month after releasing the Pad SE and Pad5 Pro in its home market. This time, the company has filled in the gap with the Pad5, which shares plenty of hardware with the existing iQOO Pad 5.
Built around an aluminium housing that weighs 590 g and measures 266 x 192 x 6.62 mm, the Vivo Pad5 contains a 12.1-inch display with a relatively unusual 7.1:5 aspect ratio and a 2,800 x 1,968-pixel native resolution. According to Vivo, the display also delivers a 144 Hz refresh rate and up to 900 nits peak brightness, which the company complements with a 10,000 mAh battery that supports 44 W wired charging.
Meanwhile, performance is handled by LPDDR5X RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset. In that sense, the Pad5 directly rivals Samsung's Galaxy Tab S10 Plus (curr. $849.99 on Amazon), which has been on sale since October last year. Vivo also speaks of a huge 34,200 mm² heat dissipation system, as well as remote desktop usage with a PC or a Mac. Currently, Vivo has only unveiled the China for the following prices:
- 8 GB RAM/128 GB UFS 3.1 storage - CNY 2,499 (~$348)
- 8 GB RAM/256 GB UFS 4.1 storage - CNY 2,799 (~$389)
- 12 GB RAM/256 GB UFS 4.1 storage - CNY 3,099 (~$431)
- 16 GB RAM/512 GB UFS 4.1 storage - CNY 3,499 (~$487)
