Vivo has already unveiled the Pad 5 Pro as its flagship Android tablet for 2025 - now, the brand has confirmed that a vanilla version of the same is on the way. It is now officially slated to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor rather than the newer 9400+ silicon of its more premium sibling.
Accordingly, the upcoming tablet gives the strong impression of being the Vivo version of the new Pad 5 from the OEM's subsidiary iQoo - the former even looks identical to the latter in its new teasers.
Vivo has prepared a different choice of pale blue, pink or black colorways for the Pad 5's unibody chassis, though. Should it indeed have the exact same specs as the iQoo Pad 5, it should offer a 12.1-inch display with a class-leading 144Hz refresh rate and a 2.8K resolution.
The 'other' Pad 5 has up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage on the Chinese market, although there is no guarantee that its putative Vivo counterpart will have the same SKU options.
Its maker has revealed that it will come pre-loaded with "PC-level" versions of productivity tools such as WPS Office from its release, an event scheduled alongside the launch of the "colorful" S30 series of smartphones and TWS Air 3e on May 29, 2025.
