OnePlus recently confirmed its plans to release the OnePlus 13s in India on June 5. The compact premium phone will mostly be a rebadged version of the OnePlus 13T that launched in China last month, but there will apparently be two key differences between the phones.
On the positive side, the OnePlus 13s will feature an improved selfie camera over the OnePus 13T. While the 13T comes equipped with a 16 MP selfie snapper, the 13s will ditch that in favor of a 32 MP camera. Resolution is hardly the best indicator of camera quality, but it's unlikely that the OnePlus 13s's 32 MP snapper performs worse than the 16 MP one on the 13T. The jump to a 32 MP sensor is also said to allow the OnePlus 13s record 4K video with its selfie camera, a feature missing on the 13T.
On the flip side, the OnePlus 13s is tipped to feature a smaller battery than the 13T. Although the 13T sports a massive 6,260 mAh battery, word on the grapevine indicates the 13s could arrive with a smaller 5,850 mAh unit. That wouldn't be surprising as several devices have launched outside China with smaller batteries this year. Either way, a 5,850 mAh battery on a small 6.32-inch device would still be class-leading.
