Beelink reveals price of its new Thunderbolt 5 Mac mini dock

Beelink recently showcased the Mate mini, which is positioned as a new Mac mini dock with Thunderbolt 5 and support for up to 16 TB of expanded storage. While the company previously shared all the core details of the accessory, it didn't reveal the price, which has now been disclosed.

The new Apple Mac mini docking station costs CNY 985 in China, which converts to around $137. Of course, the global price won't be the same as the Chinese price, but Beelink is known for offering most of its products in the international market, so the Mate mini is expected to make a global debut soon.

As for the dock itself, the Mate mini is available in two variants. One of them prioritizes higher storage, while the other is more about speedy storage. To be specific, the former has two M.2 PCIe x2 slots, capable of holding a total of 16 TB storage, while the other has one M.2 PCIe x4 slot that can be equipped with up to an 8 TB SSD (8 TB WD_BLACK SN850X curr. $619.99 on Amazon).

In addition to offering expanded storage, the Mate mini dock for Mac mini has ports for additional connectivity. It has two USB 3.0 Type-A, one 2.5G LAN, and one SD 4.0 card slot. The Thunderbolt 5 port on the docking station is primarily for pairing it with the mini PC, and there's an extra USB-C port with PD that can offer additional power to the connected accessories.
