The new Anker Nano Power Bank (5K, MagGo, Slim) is launching soon. This portable accessory is very similar to the Anker MagGo Power Bank (5K, Slim), model A1667, which was launched in the US at the end of 2024 and in Europe in January 2025. At the time of writing, it is exclusive to the Apple Store.
Now, reliable tipster AnkerInsider has indicated that the new Nano Power Bank with model number A1665 is about to be released. This rumor is backed up by FCC filings for this accessory in the US. Plus, the product has appeared on the brand’s website in Japan, where it is set for a summer 2025 release.
The original Apple Store version is available in white or blue. In Japan, the new Nano Power Bank will be offered in these two colors, as well as black and pink. It has also been suggested that gold and green versions could also be on the way. The newer version has a slightly different design, with a metallic frame, and the position of the power button and LED indicators have been swapped.
Otherwise, the power banks are identical, with a 5,000mAh capacity and Qi2-certified 15W wireless charging. The bi-directional USB-C port offers up to 20W power, with a maximum combined output of 17W (5W wireless, 12W USB-C). Plus, there is support for pass-through charging. The new Nano Power Bank measures 102 × 71 × 8.6 mm (~4.0 x 2.8 x 0.34 inches), matching its predecessor, and weighs 110 g (~0.24 lbs). For comparison, the older Anker 621 Magnetic Battery (MagGo) (curr. $39.99 at Amazon) is 11 mm (~0.45 inches) thick.
Rumors indicate that the Anker Nano Power Bank (5K, MagGo, Slim) will have an RRP of $49.99 in the US; the original model is priced at $49.95 at the Apple Store. However, it is unclear when this new accessory will be released.
